New SMART Board

Two students using the touch screen on the SMART Board to make art.

The grade 8/9 room just had a brand new SMART Board installed. Alameda school now has three SMART Boards that allow students and teachers to project a computer onto the screen and use the screen as a touchscreen device. The SMART Board has been up for just over a day and already students have used it to view the school web page, manipulate a hundreds chat in grade 4 math, watch a video for 8/9 ELA, and make non-object art in Arts Ed 8/9. The SMART Board is a powerful learning tool that the students will continue to use to further their learning and their interest and engagement in their learning.
