Dear Parents and Guardians:
I wanted to let you know that our windup has been moved to next week. We forgot that this week there is the 49ers Bonspiel during the day. So the windup will now be Wednesday March 14th, 2012. We will put the students into teams and play a game. We will also have pizza to finish things off! The curling club is being very generous and ordering us pizza! The students can be picked up at 5:00 pm. We have had a fun season and the curlers have really improved on their skills. We hope to see everyone still curling next year!
Please sign and return the bottom of the form sent home with the curlers by Friday, March 9th. We need to know who will be attending so we can make teams and order pizza!

Dear Parents / Guardians:
We have had a great start to our curling season! Everyone has been learning lots and has been improving each practice. We wanted to inform you of a change that we will be making for the rest of the year. This year we have an awesome number of students participating in curling, but we feel students don't get enough one-on-one coaching time to help them improve. To allow students to get more coaching time we will be splitting the students into grade groups.
On Tuesdays only the grade 6 students will practice from 3:30 to 5:00. Grade six students will also attend every second Wednesday practice, when there is no curling that tuesday.
Grade 5 students will curl every wednesday, from 3:30 to 5:00.

Reminder: All curlers are asked to pay a fee to cover the cost of the facility. The money goes to the curling club. The fee for and individual curler is $20.00 and the fee for a family (more that one curler) is $30.00. Please bring your fee to the school office or Miss Stephanson by Friday, January 13th.

Dear Parents / Guardians:
Winter is here once again and it is time to get curling! Curling practices will be held at the Carlyle Curling Club from 3:30 to 5:00 every Wednesday and every second Tuesday (check the monthly calendar for exact dates). We realized that students are involved in other activities during the week and encourage that they try to make at least one practice per week, but they are welcome to attend both. Make sure to let your coaches know which day you are planning to attend.
Parents and guardians are responsible for getting their children to the rink and for picking them up at 5:00 unless they walk on their own. The rink has sliders and brooms for the curlers. They need to wear appropriately warm clothing and MUST have clean, indoor running shoes or curling shoes to wear on the ice surface.
All curlers are asked to pay a fee to cover the cost of the facility. The money goes to the curling club. The fee for an individual curler is $20.00 and the fee for a family (more than one curler) is $30.00. The fee can be paid at the curling club at the first practice.
If anyone is interested in helping out please contact the school at 453-2393.
Please fill out and return the permission form to the school with your child by Monday December 12th. The practices will begin on Tuesday December 13th.
