Yoga for Learning (Grade 6)

Yoga for Learning! Yoga for Lunch! (Grade 6)

6 sessions of yoga offered to students in grade 6! *(Limit of 12 students, please only sign up if you are committed to attend all 6 sessions! Thank you!)* 

Time: 12:00 to 12:30 Yoga,  12:30 to 12:45 Lunch

(Bring your own lunch and a yoga health drink will be provided, compliments of our community school nutritionist Mrs. Beatty.)

When: May 4th, 9th, 18th, 24th, 29th, and June 6th.

Where: Meet in the gym and sessions will be held on the stage at noon, immediately after class.

What to bring: Wear loose fitting clothes and bring a yoga mat if you have one.

Why?: Yoga for learning is a great body awareness exercise to calm the mind, spirit & body by breathing deeply, focusing, stretching and balancing. Yoga improves upon and increases felxibility and concentration. Yoga for learning helps us to feel relaxed, happy, self-assured, confident and GOOD about OURSELVES!

 

Please return the permission form (sent home with the grade 6 students) to Mrs. Macdonald if you are interested in participating!
