Students are encouraged to complete the minimum 1 credit Phys Ed requirement for Division IV during their Grade 10 year.

WELLNESS 10 - (Prerequisite is Gr. 9 Phys Ed) The main focus of this class is to develop a Wellness philosophy for facilitating student choice toward decisions for optimal health and a process for developing an awareness that health and happiness are attainable and to help to enhance healthy lifestyle and goal setting skills. This is an integrated compulsory class. This class does have off-campus and outdoor education components which concentrate on developing social skills. Some possible units include:

Physical Education 20/30 - (Prerequisite is Wellness 10) This exciting co-ed learning environment is designed for grade 11 and 12 students who are motivated in taking Physical Education in a fun and safe environment. The main focus of the class is to help enhance student attitude, self esteem and self confidence in a Physical Education setting, helping students learn about themselves and experience life more fully in the pursuit of lifelong activity. These classes will have off campus components which will focus on developing social skills in a unique environment. Some possible units include:

Female Physical Education 20/30 - (Prerequisite is Wellness 10) This class is designed for grade eleven and grade twelve females who are interested in taking Physical Education and are specifically looking for an all female learning environment. There will be a focus on life long participation by experiencing a variety of new activities, by developing individual fitness and weight training programs, and by touring various facilities and participating in activities that promote fitness and Wellness. This class will have an off-campus and Outdoor Education component to it which will concentrate on developing social skills in a unique and experiential learning environment. HIGH PERFORMANCE PHYSICAL EDUCATION 20/30 - (Prerequisite is Wellness 10) This class is designed for grade eleven and twelve students (male and female) who are interested in taking a Physical Education class in a more competitive atmosphere. The class will focus on increasing your overall fitness level. This will be accomplished through activities and sports that will be of a more competitive nature than in the normal Physical Education class. Interested students should be sports minded as well as motivated to be in good physical condition. Students should also be interested in developing their athletic skills to a higher level. Possible activities include:
