School Community Council

 

MacLeod School Community Council Needs You!
 
Since 2007, MacLeod Elementary School has had a School Community Council as part of its governance structure.  The purpose of the council is to represent the voice of parents in the education of their children.  There are up to nine positions that may be filled on the MacLeod Council.  Each person takes on a one or two year term. 
Some of the projects the SCC has been working on are the back to school barbeque, purchasing and construction of the new playground apparatus, promotion of the 40 developmental assets through guest speakers, promotional materials, and media campaign.  Their satellite group, the Pawsitive Power Partners, provide fun lunches for students as well as fun activities such as dramas and musical entertainers for students. 
If you have one night per month that you could attend a meeting, this group could use your help.  If you would like to know more about being involved or about a nomination, contact Sherry Kindlein, Jenelyn Brown, Kerry Coleman, Erika Roets, or MacLeod School.  Thank you to our past members.  We appreciate all you have done, and know McNaughton School will benefit from your support in the future.  Welcome to all new families.  Your involvement means learning success for your child and all students.
