The SRC kicked off the new school year with house team activities in the gym on September 6th. The staff advisor this year is Miss Quigley. The SRC provided a barbecue lunch for all of the students and staff on September 8th. The SRC’s annual magazine fundraiser will be held this month. The funds raised through the magazine fundraiser are used at the SRCs discretion to support the students at Pangman School. In the past the SRC has provided lunch at the welcome back barbecue, purchased snacks for the Terry Fox Run and Jump Rope for Heart, purchased student choice books and games, paid the monthly student phone bill and purchased materials and prizes for spirit days.
For each spirit day, the homeroom class that has the highest percent of participants will be awarded the Pangman School Spirit Award. The class will have their picture taken with the trophy and will get to keep the trophy in their homeroom until the next spirit day. The picture will be displayed on the SRC Wall of Fame. The homeroom with the most spirit award wins this year will get to enjoy a DQ ice cream cake on June 14, 2012.
On September 20, the K-2 class won the Pangman School Spirit Award for the highest number of participants for PJ Day. On October 7, the Grades 11 and 12 class won the Pangman School Spirit Award for 100% participation on Panther Pride Day.
The SRC is selling school clothing until October 28. Hoodies are $18.50, sweatpants are $16.00 and t-shirts are $10.00. All prices include tax. Forms are available from the school office, Miss Quigley, the school bulletin board at the Co-op grocery store and by clicking
