2016 RRHS VOLLEYBALL SEASON
Volleyball season has sadly come to and end. This year RRHS had a large turnout of students so we ended up
having 2 Jr. Girls teams, a Jr. Boys team, 2 Sr. Girls teams, and a Sr. Boys Team. The Jr. teams did very well
this year. Both the Jr. Boys & Girls placed second at their Conferences. The Sr. Girls & Boy teams also had great
season. The Boys were able to skip right out to Regionals and narrowly missed advancing to the finals.
The Sr. Girls had a very good showing at Conferences but did not advance to Regionals. Thank you to the numerous coaches on staff & from the
community. A lot of time was spend holding practices, organizing games, and traveling with the team. Thank you to all of the families that helped out
at tournaments and took turns driving students. Thank you to the students who played, reffed, and work the kitchen. Hopefully we will see you again
next volleyball season!
Generous Donation Towards Fruit Program
RRHS would like to thank the Zieg family for introducing Enerplus to RRHS Fruit Program. Enerplus
inquired about our healthy snack initiative that sets aside fruit in the office for students to grab for a
nutritious recharge. Enerplus was impressed with the quantity of fruit that the students eat and has
graciously donated $1500 to the program. With this donation RRHS will be able to finish this year of
the program and keep current monetary reserves for start-up next year as well as provide more of a variety of fruit/vegetables. RRHS would
like to Enerplus for contributing to the betterment of the RRHS community.
