Newer Announcements and Reminders

 

Friday will be the last day the cafeteria is open.  Bring your lunch next week if needed.

 

Locker Cleanout was yesterday (for Gr. 10-12) and if you weren't here, your items might be on a table across from the office.  I also have some Diabetic supplies in the office if these are yours, come claim them.  If your lockers were cleaned out for you, you will be charged $10.00. 

 

All Senior Jazz Band members must meet in the band room at the beginning of period 3 for a group yearbook photo. Please wear your shirt – there are extras in the band room if you forgot.

 

Senior Band Students--reminder to come at the beginning of period 3 TODAY to hand in your music/folders.

 

Gr. 9 Band--you need to come to class today to hand in your music.

 

Book Club's wind-up is Thurs. after school.

A reminder to all Gr.9s that your P.E volunteer hours are due to Mr. Fleck by 3:30 on Friday, June 23rd.

 

Any boys interested in volleyball, we'll have an open gym night for some scrimmaging on Wednesday from 8-9:30.  Come on out!  See Mr. Wilson for questions or details.

 

Reminder to all students:  Students with NHIs or Is will be held from Activity Day and kept after exams until all of their assignments are submitted.  Please get all of your outstanding assignments in to your teachers by the end of the day on Tuesday.

 

Lost and Found:  The rack is packed with clothes, waterbottles and various other items.  Please look through it and claim anything that belongs to you or it will be gone!

 

There are "Multicultural Day in the Park" pledge forms in the office for CANADA 150.  Anyone who is interested in participating in the United Way/Tatagwa Parkway 3.0 km Walk-a-thon on June 24th, come pick up a form.

 

If you are interested in playing boys soccer next year and you are in grade 8, 9, 10 or 11, please see Ms. Manderscheid in room 208 or Ms. Shuya  in room 608 for some important information.

 

Students who signed up for "Summer Driver Ed Class"….everyone who signed up can attend.  You need to show up on the first day (July 31st @ 8:30).  Also you need to come to the office ASAP to pick up an "information" sheet and join REMIND (instructions are on the sheet on how to do this).  Mrs Vollbrecht is sending out information on REMIND and if you don't sign up, you are missing out on important info….she is communicating through this app and it works well if you sign up for it.

 

There are pamphlets from the Credit Union for all Graduates….some freebies in them so come pick up one at the office.

 

Found:  Cufflink (after the Prom)…come to office to describe.  Also if you have lost any other jewellery come check if it has been turned into the office.  I have a necklace, pendant and ring that has been found in the last couple of days.

Theater Club –  Our final wrap-up on Tuesday June 20th.  We will be watching interesting videos of the club's choice and discussing how to re-vamp the club for next year.  We are thinking it is more like a Media club where we watch different forms of video media and then discuss and debate them  -  if this interests anyone from Grade 8 to 11 come on out to our last two meetings and help us design our renewal!!!

A big thank you to all the gr.9s who participated in the Tchoukball tournament yesterday, we raised $240.00 for the M.S Society.  A shout out to the Clean-up Crew for their 2nd place finish and congrats to Cookies n Cream on winning the championship!

The Southeast College is holding a "LEARN WHERE YOU LIVE WITH SOUTHEAST COLLEGE" day today from

11:00 – 1:00 and are serving free hotdogs to Grade 10, 11 & 12 students in the WCS West Parking Lot (by the Welding Shop) Tickets were handed out in Period 1 yesterday (only ONE per student).  If you don't have a Period 1 class, come to the office.

 

All other students (Grade 7,8,9) are welcome to purchase a hot dog for $2.00 but you must go get them and bring them back to the Cafeteria area to eat.  You are not allowed to stay outside at the West end of the school.

There are pamphlets from the Credit Union for all Graduates….some freebies in them so come pick up one at the office.

 

The Southeast College is holding a "LEARN WHERE YOU LIVE WITH SOUTHEAST COLLEGE" day tomorrow from

11:00 – 1:00 and are serving free hotdogs to Grade 10, 11 & 12 students in the WCS West Parking Lot (by the Welding Shop) We will be handing out the tickets in Period 1 tomorrow morning (only ONE per student).

Calling all artists in Weyburn Comp! You do not need to be taking Art and you can be any age! Weyburn Art curator, Regan Lanning, will be in the Art Room in period 4 to discuss Weyburn's Banner Project! Your very own art would has the potential to be printed on banners and displayed along Weyburn's Boardwalk for two years!!! Whether your a textile, Visual or metal artist, come to Mrs. MO's room at 12:30 if you're interested.

Newer Announcements and Reminders

 

Congratulations to all the AWARD winners last night!  Awesome job everyone!  If you received a trophy, Mr. King would like you to bring them back to the school on Monday.  They will be displayed in our trophy cases.  You are welcome to keep them over the weekend for pictures if you want.  If you weren't here to receive your certificates, they will be in the office to pick up.

 

Gr.7-9

There are 2 teams that need to pay their Tchoukball fundraiser entry fee by 3:30 today.  Also, there are a couple of teams without a name.  Get your team name on the list by 3:30 today so I can finish the draw. 

 

Today at the start of period 2 we are taking a photo of the Grade 7-9 Homeroom award winners, please come to the Cugnet centre at the start of period 2.
